Kharkiv Art Museum launched an exclusive NFT collection “Art Without Borders”.

Fifteen art pieces from the museum’s collection will be auctioned, reports the Ministry of Culture on Telegram.

The auctioned collection is divided into three categories:

  • Gold – includes 5 artworks, starting price is $1,000 BUSD
  • Silver – includes 5 artworks, starting price is $750 BUSD
  • Bronze – includes 5 artworks, starting price is $500 BUSD

All the funds collected from the auction will go to restore the operation of the museum and save the jobs for the employees.

The collection of Kharkiv Art Museum is one of the oldest and most valuable art collections in Ukraine. In March the museum`s building was affected by the Russian attack, “the windows have been blown in by the blasts, plaster and dust cover the floors and the surrounding streets are covered in debris,” Reuters reported. Staff at Kharkiv Art Museum raced to get priceless artworks to safety, ironically, many of them by Russian artists.

Earlier, we wrote about the fundraising for the restoration of the Skovoroda Museum in Kharkiv Oblast, which was supported by the Ukrainian musician Sviatoslav Vakarchuk.
