UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug. 5 — Russian forces prepared personnel and equipment for assaults near Artilne, a border village in the northeastern Kharkiv oblast, said the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The border guard killed soldiers of five Russian assault groups, destroyed nine shelters, two equipment storages, a fuel and lubricants storage, and a quadricycle in this area.
On Jul. 23, the Ukrainian Border Service reported that Russians tried to cross the border near Artilne, which created a new area of their advance in the northern Kharkiv region. On Jul. 28, DeepState, a Ukrainian OSINT war monitoring group, recorded a Russian advance near the village.
On Aug. 4, Russian troops advanced near Ustynivka village, located 6.2 kilometers (3.9 miles) from Artilne, further into the region.
