UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Jun. 1 — Russia launched 98 airstrikes at Kharkiv, killing one person and injuring 88 people, including 15 children, reported city mayor Ihor Terekhov.

Russia attacks Kharkiv often, and its troops are trying to occupy more land around the city, north, east, and southeast of it. This month, Moscow used Shahed, V2U, Molniya, Lancet, Gerbera, and FPV drones and missiles, the mayor said.

According to Terekhov, Russia attacked critical and civilian infrastructure, hitting businesses, education facilities, and railways. At the beginning of May, they launched a series of attacks against the city’s gas stations.

The air raid alert lasted for 16 days in the city — and, in Kharkiv oblast, it lasted for an entirety of 26 days, Terekhov said.
