UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Jun. 1 — As of Jun. 1, the Kharkiv government recorded 216,000 internally displaced people in the city, reported the Kharkiv City Council.

In February, the Ministry of Social Policy recorded 4,6 millions internally displaced people in Ukraine. 508,100 of them are registered in the Kharkiv region, making it the leader among other regions, reported Ukrainian analytical portal Slovo i Dilo.

According to the Kharkiv City Council, over 1,300 internally displaced people moved to Kharkiv in May.

There are 13,800 people with disabilities, 27,900 children, and 60,200 elderly people among the internally displaced people who live in Kharkiv.

Also, 57 refugee dormitories operate in the city, and 7,200 people live there.

On Jun. 1, Russian forces attacked the Osnovianskyi, Slobidskyi, Kyivskyi, and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv with Shahed and Molniya drones. The local government recorded 11 attacks on the city.
