RUSSIA, VORONEZH, Jun. 22 — Units of the Ukrainian Air Force of the Armed Forces attacked a Russian electronics plant in Voronezh producing components for Russian missiles, Russia, said the General Staff of Ukrainian army.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces used high-precision air-launched cruise missiles to hit the target.
This plant is a critical component of the Russian military-industrial complex because it produces electronic components that are necessary for Russian missiles and air defense systems, including components for the Kh-101 and 9M727 cruise missiles of the Iskander-K system, and the Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system.
Russians use the production of the plant in Voronezh for weapons, which they deploy to attack Ukrainian territory and civilians, General Staff said, adding that the destruction of the facility will degrade Russia’s capacity to manufacture new missiles.
