UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Aug. 5 — On Jul. 27, Polish volunteer Marek Rusek-Wolski was killed in a Russian drone attack on Kharkiv, said the Facebook page Razem dla Ukrainy (Together for Ukraine in English — ed.), of which Marek was an administrator.

Maciej Wewiór, a spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, confirmed the death of Marek Rusek-Wolski in a Russian airstrike, though didn’t specify the location.

Posts on the Razem dla Ukrainy Facebook page show that Marek regularly organized humanitarian trips to Ukraine, including to towns and villages of Kharkiv oblast. He delivered food, pet food, and other aid to frontline settlements.

In July 2026, Marek said that, in addition to delivering humanitarian aid, he had also evacuated the bodies of civilians killed by the Russian air attacks.
