UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May 12 — Last week, Ukrainian authorities evacuated 719 people from endangered zones near the frontline in the Kharkiv region, reported Ukraine’s Emergency Service.
Oleh Synihubov, the governor of the region, said that rescuers evacuated 19 people, including two girls aged 5 and 19, from Zolochiv and Velykyi Burluk communities. Currently, Russian forces are constantly launching airstrikes at both communities.
Syniehubov added that, to evacuate these people, authorities created an operational headquarters — a “multi-level” temporary body based at the regional Situation Center.
According to the governor, over 100 people from headquarters were involved in the evacuation.
