UKRAINE, KHARKIV REGION, May 12 — Over the past day, Russia has launched 40 kamikaze drones at Kharkiv itself and 10 settlements of the Kharkiv oblast, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the region.

The Russian kamikaze drone attacked an apartment building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. A woman suffered an acute stress reaction after the attack, said the Kharkiv regional Prosecutor’s office.

Syniehubov added that Russia damaged civilian infrastructure in Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, and Izium districts of the Kharkiv oblast.

The governor also said that Ukrainian medics provided treatment to a man who was injured in the Russian attack on the village of Khatnie of the Velykyi Burluk community on May 10.

On May 8, Ukraine and Russia, with the US mediation, agreed to a three-day truce from May 9 to May 11. However, both sides repeatedly accused each other of violating the ceasefire.

On May 12, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, said that Russia decided to end the partial truce, launching more than 200 kamikaze drones on Ukrainian territory.
