KUPIANSK, UKRAINE, Apr 03 — The Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack in the Kupiansk direction near the village of Synkivka in the Kharkiv Oblast, where the Russian Federation, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed about this in a morning briefing.

The Russian army fired mortars and artillery at more than 110 settlements in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, in the border areas, the Russian military conducts intense sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to more dangerous directions and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

In total, Russia fired two missiles and 79 airstrikes over the day and fired 66 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

At night, the Russian military also attacked Ukraine using four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed all of them.
