During the liberation of the northern part of the Kharkiv region, Russians blew up the bridge across the river, leaving the locals cut off from the regional center. The temporary river crossing was arranged immediately after the de-occupation of the community.
Twelve units of road equipment and 25 workers had taken part in the temporary crossing construction, reported the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
Moreover, the renovation of the road connection between the hromada (a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality) and the regional center became the next priority. This route is a crucial logistic element for ensuring the normal life of the community, the humanitarian aid, and the construction materials supply.
According to the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, on Oct. 3, the road construction was completed, and the connection between the hromada in the Kharkiv region and the regional center was fully restored.
The specialists of the “Roads of Kharkiv Region” State Enterprise work daily to restore the connection with the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv Oblast.
Earlier, we wrote about the liberated Piski-Radkivski village getting humanitarian aid for the first time. We continue recording the life of de-occupied towns and villages and have prepared reports from Izium, Hrakove, Balakliia, and Kozacha Lopan.
