KHARKIV OBLAST, UKRAINE, JAN 8 — Russian troops attacked Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv Oblast from the air, according to a morning report from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled two attacks by Russian troops in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv Oblast.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian troops are stationed in border areas, conducting sabotage to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to more dangerous areas of the frontline, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

More than 100 settlements in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv Oblasts came under artillery fire.
