UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Sep. 22 — Russian forces attacked the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv with a kamikaze drone, Ihor Terekhov, the city’s mayor, said.

The drone hit an open area near a car dealership. The attack injured a 28-year-old woman and damaged cars and windows.

Radar Kharkiv, a local Kharkiv monitor Telegram channel, said that Russians attacked the city with a first-person view (FPV) drone. But officials didn’t confirm this information.

Later Terekhov reported on another Russian attack on the Kyivskyi district. Another Russian drone hit near an apartment building. Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the Kharkiv oblast, said about the injured 21-year-old woman.

This summer, Russian FPVs first reached deep into Kharkiv, mostly striking gas stations. Also, Russians use fiber-optic FPV drones to attack the city, which makes electronic warfare (EW) inefficient.
