UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep. 25 — Russian forces conducted an infiltration mission north of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv oblast, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said in its assessment.

Ukrainian forces struck a Russian soldier southeast of Radkivka, а village 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) north of Kupiansk, analysts said.

Also, the ISW reported Russian claims of an advance in the northern Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi settlement, located south of Kupiansk.

Kupiansk is an important logistics hub in eastern Kharkiv oblast that connects the region with Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. 

Since July, Ukrainian forces have conducted several advances on the Kupiansk axis, pushing Russian forces back towards the Oskil river.

On Sep. 22, Ukrainian OSINTers confirmed an Ukrainian forces advance near the village of Zapadne 10 kilometers (6 miles) north of Kupiansk.
