UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jun. 8 — Russian attacks injured five people across Kharkiv oblast — their troops shelled Kharkiv and 13 settlements in the region, reported local governor Oleh Syniehubov.

Russia launches airstrikes at Kharkiv oblast often: it’s adjacent to the Russian border, and Russian troops are trying to occupy more land in the region, conducting assaults from the north, east, and southeast. 

Russian attacks injured five people. After the attack between the Chornohlazivka and Kalynove villages,  a 49-year-old man was injured, a 50-year-old woman in the strike on Vyshneve, a 52-year-old woman in Oleksandrivka, and a 63-year-old and a 68-year-old woman in Borova village. 

In the village of Chystovodivka, a 30-year-old man was injured after the explosion of an unknown device. Medics also provided aid to a 74-year-old man who was injured during the Russian attack on Riasne village. 

Russia used two glide bombs, 10 Geran-2 drones, a Lancet drone, five Molniya drones, nine first-person view (FPV) drones, and 31 drones of unknown type to attack Kharkiv oblast. 

The attacks damaged the objects of civilian infrastructure in Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv districts, in particular residential buildings, outhouses, transport, and power networks.
