UKRAINE, CHUHUIV, Sep. 7 — A 40-year-old woman injured during the Russian attack on Chuhuiv on Sep. 5 remains in hospital with severe injuries, Anna Hontar, spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, told Gwara Media.

On Sep. 5, Russian forces attacked Chuhuiv, a city located 36 kilometers (22 miles) from Kharkiv, with a Geran-4 drone. The drone hit a house, killing three people, the Kharkiv regional Prosecutor’s Office said.

According to prosecutors, the attack killed a 45-year-old man, his 19-year-old daughter, and his 11-year-old son. The killed girl’s name was Sofiia Hapon, and she was a second-year student at the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute.”

The injured woman is the mother of the killed children. Hontar said that was hospitalized, unconscious. Doctors performed surgery, and now she is on mechanical ventilation.

Also, the attack injured a 28-year-old man and two women aged 75 years old, the Kharkiv regional police said.

Halyna Minaeva, the Chuhuiv mayor, said that Sep. 6 had been declared a day of mourning for the family killed because of the Russian attack.
