UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jun. 18 — Over the past day, Russian attacks hit 13 settlements, injuring at least four locals and killing two, the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor’s Office and Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the region, reported.
Today, on Jun. 18, at approximately 7:20 a.m., Russian drones attacked the village of Ukrainske in the Chuhuiv District. A 65-year-old woman was killed, and her 66-year-old husband was injured and is currently receiving the necessary medical care, the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor’s Office reported.
According to Zolochiv military administration head Viktor Kovalenko, three hours earlier, at 4:30 a.m., a Russian drone strike on the village of Zavadske in the Zolochiv community damaged outbuildings and caused a fire, which destroyed a house. No people were injured or killed.
On Jun. 17, Russian forces hit 11 settlements in the Kharkiv region with three glide bombs and 23 drones of different types, Syniehubov, the governor of the region, said.
Between the villages of Bilyi Kolodiaz and Novooleksandrivka, in the frontline Vovchansk community, a 64-year-old man was injured in the Russian attack, the Kharkiv regional police reported.
In the Kupiansk district, Russian forces launched a glide bomb on the village of Hrushivka, killing a 72-year-old local. In the village of Hlushkivka an 18-year-old man was injured, in the village of Shevchenkove two women aged 67 and 46 suffered acute stress reaction and in the village of Pidserednye an FPV-drone hit an ambulance, no one was injured in the latter strike but the vehicle sustained mechanical damage.
A 42-year-old man was also injured as a result of an explosion caused by an unknown device in the village of Bairak, the Balakliya community.
Overall, Russia strikes caused the most damage to civilian infrastructure in the Bohodukhiv District, hitting residential buildings and an educational institution. The attack also damaged property in the Kupiansk, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv districts of the region.
