KHARKIV OBLAST, Mar 1 — On March 1, at 9:00 a.m., a 70-year-old man was injured by a mine explosion on the road between Barvinkove and Arkhanhelske in the Barvinkove community, reported the press service of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv Oblast.

According to the service, the man picked up the explosive, and it detonated. The victim is in the hospital with a mine-blast injury to his right hand.

As reported, on February 27, at 3 p.m., a 42-year-old man exploded on a mine. There is information that it was a PFM-1 Petal.

In total, since the beginning of the deoccupation of the Kharkiv Oblast, sappers have examined more than 4,361 hectares of territory and defused almost 88,000 pieces of explosive devices.

The explosives injured more than 200 people in the Kharkiv Oblast. This is the highest figure among Ukrainian oblasts.
