KHARKIV OBLAST, Mar 4 — Yesterday, on March 3, the Russian army used a guided aerial bomb with cluster munitions inside for the first time [during the war] in the Kharkiv Oblast. The Russians shelled Kupiansk in the Kharkiv Oblast with this weapon.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, announced this in a telethon on March 4.
“For the first time [during the war], we recorded a strike with a guided aerial bomb carrying a cluster munition [a cluster warhead]. This [a guided aerial bomb] increases the damage area. Of course, this is bad news for us. Because, unfortunately, more civilians may suffer,” Oleh Syniehubov said.
In total, over the past day, the Russian military attacked about 15 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast with artillery and mortar fire. The Russian military hit Vovchansk, Velykyi Burluk, and Synkivka in the Kharkiv Oblast with airstrikes over the past day.
