KHARKIV OBLAST, Mar 4 — Sappers neutralized 138 explosive munitions in the Kharkiv Oblast over the past week, reported the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv Oblast.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the State Emergency Service’s pyrotechnics neutralized 87,766 explosive devices. They also inspected about 4,436 hectares of territory, 306 kilometers of roads, and 3,083 kilometers of power lines.

There are 570,000 hectares of mined land in the Kharkiv Oblast. It will take more than 100 years to completely demine the region at the current pace, said Yevhen Ivanov, deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

As of the beginning of December 2023, 24 humanitarian demining organizations were certified in Ukraine, and six were certified the year before. Among the certified organizations are international organizations and Ukrainian commercial operators, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine said in response to a request from Gwara Media.
