On Jan. 14, Russia launched the 12th massive missile attack on Ukraine. The critical infrastructure and industrial facilities in Kharkiv city and oblast have been affected.

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov, two enemy missiles hit the critical infrastructure facility in Kharkiv Oblast. Emergency blackouts were introduced in Kharkiv city and oblast.

“The enemy targets infrastructure facilities hitting the Industrialnyi district with S-300 [anti-aircraft missile systems used for air defense, but the Russian occupiers use them to attack ground targets – ed.]. Only ground transport operates in the city – we have implemented a bus routes scheme in case of power outages, which duplicates the main tram and trolleybus routes. I ask everyone to keep calm. Invincibility Points are open in Kharkiv, where you can charge your mobile phones, get warm, and have hot drinks if necessary,” wrote Mayor Terekhov on Telegram.

On Jan. 15, the electricity and water supply was fully resumed for all consumers in Kharkiv city and Oblast.

“By 1 a.m. on Jan. 15, thanks to the dedicated effort of energy workers, electricity supply was restored to most consumers. As of 8:30 a.m. 100% of Kharkiv city and oblast consumers affected by shelling have been supplied with energy,” reported Syniehubov.

Earlier this month, Russians hit a pyrotechnics warehouse in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. The attack caused the detonation of pyrotechnic products.
