Government officials urged Ukrainians to limit electricity consumption from 17:00 to 23:00 during peak load hours.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko announced it. According to him, it will help to overcome critical loads of our power grids.

“As a result of today’s shelling, we kindly ask everyone to limit the consumption of electricity from 17:00 to 22:00 today, if possible. This will help to overcome critical loads of our power grids,” Tymoshenko posted.

Thus, the use of less electricity “will significantly help the power system and reduce the need for emergency shutdowns.”

The most energy-consuming appliances are

  • electric heaters,
  • boilers,
  • electric stove,
  • microwave oven,
  • washing machine,
  • electric oven,
  • electric kettle (coffee maker),
  • iron,
  • dishwasher,
  • air conditioner,
  • chargers,
  • vacuum cleaner,
  • computer and TV.
