UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct. 26 — Ukrainian forces carried out another drone evacuation mission of soldiers from the frontline in the Kharkiv oblast and sent them to medics, Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the region, said.
According to the governor, the Kharkiv Wings program provided drones to the 475th Separate CODE 9.2 assault unit. The Kharkiv Wings program uses funds from the regional budget to purchase drones for the Ukrainian military.
Earlier, Ukrainian forces conducted their first air drone evacuation of a wounded soldier from a position on the Kupiansk axis using a drone manufactured by the Ukrainian company Gurzuf Defence.
Syniehubov said that the development of medical aviation is a priority. In difficult areas of the frontline, it is hard to reach the wounded soldiers by ground transport because of constant Russian attacks and the large number of Russian drones in the air.
