Jul. 29 — The Security Services of Ukraine (SBU) attacked  the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Perm over 1,500 kilometers (932 miles) from the state border, said the press service of the SBU.

The Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez refinery is one of Russian largest oil refineries, with a capacity of almost 13 million tonnes per year. It supplies fuel to both the civilians and the Russian military.

According to SBU, Ukrainian drones hit the primary oil refining unit, which is one of the company’s key processing facilities.

In addition, the SBU said that such objects produce fuel for the Russian army’s military equipment, aviation, and logistics. The oil refining industry also remains one of the main sources of income for the Russian budget.

On Jul. 6, the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine attacked the biggest Russian oil refinery located in Omsk, 3,000 kilometers (~1,864 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
