UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 18 — SBU issued notices of suspicion tosuspects six women aged 31 to 63 of collaborating with Russians during the occupation of Kharkiv region, said SBU spokesman Vladyslav Abdula.
Since the start of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, more than 1,000 people in the Kharkiv Oblast have received a notice of suspicion in proceedings over treason, collaboration, and dissemination of information about the movement of the Armed Forces.
Vladyslav Abdula said that the women allegedly took up fake positions in the “Temporary civil administration of the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region” during the Russian seizure of the region.
Abdula says that women worked as two chief specialists of the department for the operation of housing and utility services, a chief specialist of the construction department, a chief specialist of the administrative and economic department, a specialist of the justice department, and an accountant of the education department under occupational administration.
According to Vladyslav Abdula, the women assisted the occupation authorities in managing the seized housing and infrastructure facilities and helped to bring the educational, financial, and legal spheres in line with Russian legislation and standards.
The SBU reported that all women were appointed in June-July 2022 and worked until the Ukrainian army liberated the Kupiansk district. On the eve of the deoccupation, they fled to Russia and are currently hiding there.
