UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May 28 — Kharkiv prosecutors have notified a 16-year-old local of the Chuhuiv district that he is suspected of collaborating with Russia, reported the Kharkiv regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, a Russian representative recruited a teenager via Telegram. Following the instructions, he gathered information about the locations of Ukrainian military units in the Kharkiv region.

The boy received the coordinates of locations he was supposed to check and pass the information on to the Russians via voice and video messages.

“He used his own moped to drive around the Chuhuiv district, take photos and videos of Ukrainian military positions and their equipment,” said prosecutors.

The Prosecutor’s Office also said that the boy used code words and secret signals to speak with his Russian “curator.” The law enforcement detained the teenager while he was carrying out his assignment.

The teenager was ordered to be held in custody as a preventive measure.
