UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep. 10 — In the northern part of Kharkiv region, Russian troops attempt to advance in small groups under the glide bomb cover, said Viking, head sergeant of the drone company of the 58th Motorized Brigade of the Ukrainian ground forces.

According to Viking, the Russian army launches glide bombs at access routes and crossings while destroying settlements where civilians still live.

Ukrainian troops attempt to hold their positions and “destroy the enemy” before the Russians reach them.

“We are trying to shoot down all drones flying in that area to film the crossings and destroy the approaches to those positions,” Viking said.

At the beginning of September, Russia claimed they advanced in northern Kharkiv oblast, e.g., occupied Kozacha Lopan, a settlement north of Kharkiv. Vitalii Sarantsev, a spokesperson for the 14th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, denied that information. 

In early August, Russian forces advanced near the northern state border toward Artilne and Ustynivka. Ukrainian military officials said they infiltrated through the border to distract Ukrainian forces from the main fronts.
