UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct. 23 — Ukrainian drone operators attacked and destroyed a Russian missile launcher 9P132 “Grad-P,” also known as “Partizan,” and missile depot on the Kupiansk axis, duty officer of the “Legion” Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 33rd Separate Brigade with call sign Veresen told Army TV.

According to Veresen, an allied unit of Unmanned Systems Forces detected a Russian missile launcher in that direction, and pilots from the 33rd Brigade launched the first strike.

“The main goal was the rocket launcher. We wanted to at least damage it, or at best, destroy it. Fortunately, we did,” Veresen said.

The officer said that drone operators found a missile depot for the Grad-P system nearby. “We knew the Russians would keep the ammunition nearby because it’s quite heavy — 46 kilograms (101 pounds), to be exact.”

The depot was above ground and covered with camouflage netting, Veresen added. He did not specify the number of missiles destroyed, but said that 4–5 were visible on the surface and that, based on their explosive power, there may have been more buried underground.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russia’s main goal on the Kupiansk axis is to cross the Oskil river, which runs through Kupiansk, an important logistics hub connecting the region to Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
