UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug. 4 — On Jul. 24, local police officers evacuated a man from the Derhachi community in the Kharkiv oblast, and a Russian first-person view (FPV) drone attacked the route they were using. No casualties were reported, said the Kharkiv regional police.

In early July, local authorities expanded the evacuation zone in the Kharkiv region to cover 60 settlements across three districts, including villages and towns of the Derhachi community.

Viacheslav Zadorenko, the head of Derhachi city military organization, said that in July, Russian attacks on the Derhachi community killed nine and injured 25 people. These are the highest number of monthly casualties the community recorded since the beginning of 2026.

Also, Zadorenko said that, in July, 76 people were evacuated from the community’s border area. A total of 150 residents remain in the dangerous zone.
