UKRAINE, Apr 03 — As of today, the Russian military killed 538 children and injured more than 1,280 others of varying severity, reported the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, citing juvenile prosecutors.

The most affected children are in the following regions: Donetsk — 524, Kharkiv — 344, Kherson — 149, Kyiv — 130, Dnipropetrovsk — 130, Mykolaiv — 103, Zaporizhzhia — 100.

As reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, at around 5:00 p.m. on April 2, the Russian army shelled the village of Novoosynove in the Kupiansk district, killing a 58-year-old man. His 11-year-old son died in the hospital.

About the evacuation of children from frontline areas in the Kharkiv region

In the Kharkiv Oblast, 159 children and their families have already been evacuated from the Vilkhuvatka and Velykyi Burluk communities. 

The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration does not rule out the possibility of mandatory or forced evacuation from the northern districts of the region — Bohodukhiv and Kharkiv.

Mandatory evacuation is also underway from 57 settlements of the Kupiansk district.

There are 221 children still living in the Kupiansk community on the right bank of the Oskil River. The mandatory forced evacuation of children from the Kupiansk community will begin after the evacuation of children from the Vilkhuvatka and Velykyi Burluk communities is completed.
