Books from Ukraine collection, a catalog of Ukrainian publications recommended for translation into foreign languages, are presented on the Frankfurt Rights platform and available to foreign publishers.

According to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the list containing almost 500 titles was formed with the publishers` and volunteers` support. The information on the Ukrainian books will be available from October 2022 till September 2023. Thanks to the support of the Frankfurter Buchmesse (Book Fair), Ukrainian books will be presented in the Frankfurt Rights catalog for free.

The collection includes books by 46 publishing houses that volunteered to work at the national stand of Ukraine at the Frankfurt Buchmesse. During the year, the publishers will have the opportunity to update the publication and present more relevant books to potential foreign partners who may be interested in translation.

Books from Ukraine collection includes publications of various genres and topics, among them books devoted to the Russian-Ukrainian wars and the consequences of the neighborhood with the aggressor state.

Books from Ukraine collection is presented by the Ukrainian Book Institute, a government entity, part of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. Its mission is “to shape state policy in the area of book publishing, promote book reading in Ukraine, support book industry, provide incentives for translations and popularize Ukrainian literature abroad”.

Translate Ukraine is a programme of the Ukrainian Book Institute that partly compensates the expenses of the publisher on the translation and publishing of the Ukrainian literature in a foreign language.

The Frankfurter Buchmesse is the largest and most influential book fair in the world, where the Ukrainian Book Institute and the Goethe-Institut in Ukraine will present a national stand from Ukraine and an eventful program. The events are scheduled for October 19-23.
