KHARKIV OBLAST, Feb 23 — Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops repelled five Russian attacks in the Kupiansk direction near Synkivka in the Kharkiv Oblast.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces informed about this in a morning report.

The Russian army fired mortars and artillery at more than 125 settlements in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, in the border areas, the Russian military conducts intense sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to more dangerous directions and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

Over the past day, there were 101 combat engagements along the entire frontline. In total, the Russian military launched three missiles and 83 airstrikes and fired 152 multiple-launch rocket systems at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and populated areas.
