KHARKIV OBLAST, Feb 14 — Police sappers discovered a two-row anti-tank minefield with TM-62M mines and MVCH-62 fuses in the Izium district of the Kharkiv region, according to the National Police.

Sappers managed to clear the field. They are currently working on demining critical infrastructure in the Izium district. They discovered a two-row anti-tank minefield with TM-62M mines, and MVCH-62 fuses there.

In the Kharkiv region, the Russian military mined 570,000 hectares of land. At the current rate of demining, it will take more than 100 years to clear all these areas.

Every day, sappers inspect the territory of the Kharkiv region due to the dense minefields in the frontline and de-occupied territories.

Gwara Media’s journalists spent a day with Kharkiv sappers in Prudiantsi, where deminers found and detonated about 30 “petal” [a scatterable high explosive anti-personnel land mine of Soviet and Russian production — ed.] mines.
