UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov 20 – Since February 24, 2022, the Russian army killed almost 3,000 people in the Kharkiv region, including 95 children, reported the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian shelling and air strikes, often during the full-scale invasion, as Moscow targets civilian and critical infrastructure in the region.
In total, since February 24, 2022, the Russians killed 2,767 people in the Kharkiv region. Another 5,821 people were injured, including 449 children.
Russian attacks also destroyed or damaged more than 70,000 objects, including more than 35,000 residential buildings, more than 7,000 multi-story buildings, more than 860 public leisure, education, health and social protection buildings, etc.
On November 19, the State Emergency Service (SES) in the Kharkiv Oblast reported that since the beginning of the full-scale war, starting on February 24, 2022, eight rescuers have been killed in the line of duty in the Kharkiv region.
