KHARKIV, UKRAINE, Apr 30 — On April 30, at about 10:02 a.m., the Russian military attacked the Kholodnohirskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv with glide bombs, injuring nine people and killing one, said Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
According to officials, the Russian army attacked civilian infrastructure, hitting a park area.
The Russian shelling of the Kyivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts killed a Ukrainian railways engineer. Another railroad worker was also injured due to the Russian attack. She is receiving all necessary medical care.
As authorities reported, on April 27, Russia attacked Kharkiv with S-300 missiles, hitting the territory of a regional clinical psychiatry hospital and injuring a patient.
According to Oleh Syniehubov, 900 patients and about 250 employees were at the hospital at the time of the attack. Eighty patients and five employees were in the complex’s building, near which one of the missiles hit.
Russia intensified attacks on Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city and a regional center, in March 2024. The city comes under fire almost daily as Russia attacks Kharkiv’s civilian and critical infrastructure.
