UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr. 24 — Russian forces continue their assault in the Dehtiarne-Nesterne direction near the Russian-Ukraine border in the Vovchansk community, reported the 16 Army Corps of Ukrainian forces.
The 16 Army Corps said that the Russians plan to capture the Zemlianky village in the Vovchansk community by Apr. 30. Zemlianky is located 5 kilometers (~3 miles) from Dehtiarne.
The Ukrainian military said that the Russians are amassing troops on Russian territory and attempting to cross the state border in small assault groups.
Ukrainian intelligence identifies them, allowing the Ukrainian military to prevent Russian attempts to advance, said the 16 Army Corps.
Earlier, the Ukrainian army repelled a Russian assault on Bochkove, a village near the state border north of Kharkiv, east of Vovchansk.
Also, Ukrainian forces attack Russian logistics to prevent Russian small assaults on the border settlements in the Vovchansk community.
