UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Jul. 2 — At nearly 6 p.m., Russian fiber-optic first-person view (FPV) drone targeted a gas station in Kharkiv, injuring three people, including a 7-year-old child, said Oleh Syniehuov, governor of the region.
Authorities didn’t share information about the condition of the injured people at the moment of writing this article. At the same time, Syniehubov said that medics are providing assistance to all of them.
This morning, Petro Tokar, head of the regional police, said Russian FPV drones had reached Kharkiv 34 times in 2026, most of them since May. The latest attack marks the 35th recorded Russian FPV drone strike on the city.
Ihor Terekhov, the city’s mayor, also reported an increase of FPV drone attacks on Kharkiv. He added that Russian forces renewed using glide bombs for airstrikes.
Over June, Russian forces launched 142 air attacks on Kharkiv, killing 12 and injuring 122 people, including 12 children, Terekhov added.
