UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 21 — Russian attacks in the Kharkiv district killed one person and injured another. They also injured one person in Kupiansk, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, Russian troops attacked a civilian car with a drone in the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv district, killing a 65-year-old driver and injuring a 61-year-old man. The Russian shelling also injured a 59-year-old woman in Kupiansk.

Also, during the day, the Russian army attacked the Kupiansk and Izium districts of the Kharkiv region.

In addition, the Russians shelled a civilian enterprise in the village of Nechvolodivka, causing plastic pipes and firewood to catch fire. The Russian artillery attack also destroyed a house, an outbuilding, and a truck.

The Russian attack also caused a fire over a 500 m2 area of coniferous foreste in the village of Kurylivka.

In the Izium district, the Russian military attacked the outskirts of the village of Novyi Myr, burning the grass in the open area. In the village of Hlushchenkove, the Russian attack caused two non-residential buildings and 2.5 hectares of grass to catch fire.
