KHARKIV OBLAST, Mar 7 — At 10 a.m., the Russian military shelled Vovchansk in the Kharkiv Oblast with a guided aerial bomb. The shelling damaged at least 12 private residential buildings. 

The bomb hit one of the houses, killing a 40-year-old woman. Rescuers recovered her body while removing the rubble, reported the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv Oblast.

The Russian attack injured a 67-year-old woman in another private house. Structural elements of the house caught fire.

Firefighters put out the fire caused by the attack.

The regional police noted that the Russian army hit the private sector in the city with three KABs [a 500-kilogram general-purpose aerial bomb with a high-explosive warhead developed in the Soviet Union — ed.]

About 22 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast came under Russian artillery and mortar fire over the past day, including Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Ambarne, Zapadne, Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Kotliarivka. The Russians hit the towns of Zarichne, Nesterne, Krasnyi Yar, Chorne, Kozacha Lopan, and Tabaivka with airstrikes.
