The number of Russian attacks and airstrikes on this axis increased as of late.

The Russian army keeps more than 110,000 soldiers, 1,085 tanks, almost 2,000 infantry fighting vehicles, and 1,200 artillery units on the Kupiansk-Lyman axis. A spokesman for Military Group East of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Illia Yevlash, reported on it during a national telemarathon on October 5.

Yevlash noted that this axis is the most dynamic direction on the Eastern part of the frontline, and right now, the situation is the most difficult there. Russians actively use fighter jets, Su-35 and Su-25, and helicopters Ka-52 and Mi-8 in the region.

“The number of attacks increased. We had eight clashes in the Makiivka district of Luhansk oblast, and we’re fighting back. We’ve destroyed 13 units of equipment and weapons and 122 occupiers,” said Yevlash.
