On April 3-4, the enemy continued shelling the settlements of Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv districts in Kharkiv Oblast.
Kharkiv Regional Military Administration: Russians shelled Kupiansk on April 4
- Kupiansk was shelled twice during April 3-4. On April 4, around 5 a.m., the Russian invaders attacked this city, damaging the non-residential building.
- On April 3, the enemy fired at least 48 attacks on the village of Dvorichna and 36 attacks on the village of Zapadne in the Kupiansk district. Russians fired from rocket and barrel artillery, tanks, and mortars and used aviation.
- A 28-year-old civilian man was injured due to shelling of the city of Vovchansk and the village of Vovchanski Khutory of Chuhuiv district. He was hospitalized in a fair condition.
- A shelling destroyed an infrastructure object and a private house in Tykhe in the Chuhuiv district.
- More than 6,5 hectares of territory were examined, and 108 explosive objects were neutralized in Kharkiv Oblast on April 3.
- On April 3, KharkivOblenergo resumed electricity supply for five settlements in the Izium district in Kharkiv Oblast. “We had to work under a barrage of constant artillery and mortar fire because the distance from the work site to the front line is approximately five kilometers,” Oblenergo said. Out of 38 Borova community settlements, only four directly in the frontline zone remain without electricity.
State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast:
“On April 4, at 5:10 a.m., we went to extinguish a fire caused by Russian artillery shelling. On the territory of one of the private households in Kupiansk, a farm building with an area of 1,5 square meters was burning. Within 20 minutes, the firefighters extinguished the fire.”
Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office:
“A pre-trial investigation has been started in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). According to the investigation, on April 4, at 4:40 a.m., Russians once again shelled the city of Kupiansk. Houses and farm buildings were damaged. It was established that the occupiers were hitting the city with multiple rocket launchers.”
Kupiansk District Military Administration:
“More than 600 people remain in the Petropavlovsk community close to the front line. Over a thousand remain in the Dvorichna community, and 11 more children were evacuated from there on April 2.”
Vovchansk Military Administration:
“After the shelling of the border village of Tykhe in the Vovchanak region on April 2, a mobile phone tower fell,” the village is left without a mobile network.
General Staff: enemy shelled 14 Kharkiv Oblast settlements
- Russians shelled at least 14 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast on April 3-4.
- Russian units are maintained in the border regions of Kursk and Belgorod Oblasts.
Earlier: On April 2-3, the enemy shelled the border settlements of Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Izium, and Chuhuiv districts in Kharkiv Oblast.
