On 9 April, the Russian military shelled locations in the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk districts of the region, Kharkiv RMA Oleh Syniehubov said.

Kharkiv Regional Military Administration

  • At least 15 private houses were damaged in Kurylivka, Kupiansk district, and a building in Petropavlivka was destroyed.
  • The Karaichne of Vovchansk community of in Chuhuiv district was shelled by Russian mortars, wounding a 36-year-old man who was hospitalized in serious condition.
  • Grad multiple rocket launchers hit a forest at Podoly village, Kupiansk district, causing a fire.
  • In addition, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration noted that the danger of mines remains high in the region: at Snizhkivka, Izium district, a 38-year-old man stepped on a PFM-1 anti-personnel mine in his garden. He was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

  • Over the past day, the enemy fired at localities: Veterinarne, Kozacha Lopan, Mala Danilovka, Gatyshche, Ustinovka, Milove, Velykyi Burluk and Topoly in Kharkiv Oblast.
  • In the Kupyansk direction, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne and Pershotravneve in Kharkiv region came under enemy attack.

State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast

Pyrotechnic teams of the State Emergency Service inspected about 4.25 hectares of territory in Kharkiv, Izium, Kupiansk, Bohodukhiv and Chuhuiv districts and 3 km of power lines. The engineers discovered and defused 99 units of enemy mines, explosives and ammunition.
