The Russian army was advancing in the Kupyansk direction near Synkivka, Kharkiv Oblast. The Defense Forces have repelled six attacks in this area, according to the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 6.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian troops maintain its presence in the areas bordering Kharkiv region, continue shelling settlements from Russia, and are mining the area near the Ukrainian state border. In this frontline section, Zemlianky, Kruhle, Okhrimivka and Bochkove in Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the eastern part of the region, the Russian army conducted air strikes near the settlements of Synkivka, Ivanivka and Pishchane in Kharkiv region. About 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Fyholivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove in Kharkiv region.
During the day, 83 combat engagements took place. The Russian army launched 2 missile and 71 air strikes, and fired 65 MLRS at Ukrainian troops’ positions and localities.

During November 3-26, 296 children were evacuated from the dangerous territory. Two more children are on the list in the Kurylivska community: born in 2012 and 2018. However, there are no children at their addresses.
Gwara tried to find out more information on the evacuation from the local authorities for several days without receiving a response.
Kupiansk, a town with a pre-war population of about 30,000 people, was occupied from late February till September 2022. The city is a railway and road hub in eastern Ukraine between Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.

On December 6, around 9:30 a.m., the Russian army shelled Podoly of the Kupiansk district. Two local women were injured. One was hospitalized, and the other was provided first aid.
Ukrainian artillery on the Kupiansk axis destroyed a Russian electromagnetic warfare system with HIMARS. Special operation forces helped direct fire at a station.
