KHARKIV OBLAST, UKRAINE, Apr 11 — As of 6 a.m., the Russian military hit the towns of Derhachi, Lyptsi, Vovchansk, Kurylivka, and Kruhliakivka in the Kharkiv Oblast with airstrikes, according to the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian troops did not conduct any assaults over the past day, the General Staff reported.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, in the border areas, the Russian military conducts intense sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to more dangerous directions and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

The Russian army also fired mortars and artillery at more than 120 settlements in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv oblasts.

As reported by the presidential press service, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reviewed the process of building defensive structures and fortifications near the border with Russia in Kharkiv Oblast.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, noted that the fortifications include an extensive system of trenches, dugouts, and other types of shelters. Barrier lines, such as concrete pyramids, dragon’s teeth, and anti-tank ditches, are being set up in the region.
