UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 3 — In the Kupiansk direction, there were 23 combat clashes near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Stelmakhivka, and Berestove over the past day, reported the General Staff.
Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)
In the Kharkiv direction, there were five combat clashes near Vovchansk.
The “Kharkiv” group of forces reported that over the past day, the Russian army has begun to build up electronic warfare and set up communication systems in the Kharkiv region near Tykhe.
The military reported that the Russian army is establishing cooperation between units near Hlyboke, evacuating casualties, and using tanks against the Defense Forces. The Russians evacuated their casualties near Starytsia and replaced personnel on the frontlines.
In total, according to the General Staff, there were 197 combat clashes on the frontline over the past day, while the previous day there were 182.
