A 47-year-old volunteer was injured at Dvorichna village in Kharkiv Oblast as a result of shelling. The man was coming to pick up people when his car came under fire. He underwent surgery and is now in serious condition.
“He went to the Dvorichna community and didn’t manage to reach the person. This is the third request from her, but she decided to evacuate too late, as she had previously refused to do so. We are making extraordinary efforts to evacuate the woman, but so far we have not been able to evacuate her because of the shelling.”
The volunteer who came under fire in Kharkiv region on April 13 was on his way to evacuate the Dvorichna community when he came under Russian fire. He is a man from the EVENTROOM charitable foundation who started volunteering from the first day of the full-scale invasion. He is now in hospital in serious condition, Ivan Sokol, director of the Kharkiv RMA civil defence department, told to Suspilne.
- Dvorichna wasn’t the only locality of Kharkiv region to be shelled: The occupants continued to shell the border settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupyansk districts.
- Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Starytsia, Tabayivka villages also came under fire.
- Kucherivka, Kupyansk district, was hit by Grad multiple rocket launcher systems: a civilian enterprise was damaged, and 3 men were injured. They were hospitalized in moderate conditions.
- According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russians attacked 13 settlements in Kharkiv region: in addition to Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Starytsia and Tabayivka, Russian army shelled Ternova, Starytsia, Gatyshche, Mykolaivka, Budarky, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne and Masiutivka.
