UKRAINE, Sep. 21, – Ukrainian defense company “Vluchnyk” (Sharpshooter in English) has unveiled its new “Zorelit v5” jet-powered interceptor drone designed to down Russian reconnaissance and kamikaze drones, including the Geran-3, Geran-4, Gerbera and Geran-2, the company reported.

The Zorelit v5 was developed based on the previous Zorelit v4 interceptor, which the company says has been successfully used in combat, adopted into service, and assigned a NATO Stock Number (NSN).

The interceptor has a top speed of 416 km/h (258 mph) and a flight range of up to 47 km (29 miles) on a single charge. At a cruising speed of about 200 km/h (124 mph), it can fly for up to 17 minutes. Also the drone can carry a 300–600-gram warhead.

Additionally the system can be equipped with AI-powered target detection and automatic guidance during the final stage of flight. It can also be integrated with SkyMap, which helps direct the drone toward a target and calculate an interception route based on battery use. The manufacturer also says the drone can be remotely controlled and transmit video over the internet.

The standard configuration includes a rotating camera, an ELRS control system, a 2.5-watt video transmitter and a warhead initiation system with remote detonation.
