A 47-year-old volunteer was injured at Dvorichna village in Kharkiv Oblast as a result of shelling. The man was coming to pick up people when his car came under fire. He underwent surgery and is now in serious condition.

“He went to the Dvorichna community and didn’t manage to reach the person. This is the third request from her, but she decided to evacuate too late, as she had previously refused to do so. We are making extraordinary efforts to evacuate the woman, but so far we have not been able to evacuate her because of the shelling.”

The volunteer who came under fire in Kharkiv region on April 13 was on his way to evacuate the Dvorichna community when he came under Russian fire. He is a man from the EVENTROOM charitable foundation who started volunteering from the first day of the full-scale invasion. He is now in hospital in serious condition, Ivan Sokol, director of the Kharkiv RMA civil defence department, told to Suspilne.
