The Dykanskyi District Court of Poltava Oblast sentenced the secretary of the Shevchenkove Village Council on March 16, the Kharkiv Anticorruption Center reported.
Journalists of the Kharkiv Anticorruption Center identified the woman accused of collaborationism. She turned out to be Nadiia Sheliuh. The court banned her from working in state and local authorities for 10 years without confiscation of property.
Sheliuh was a deputy and the secretary of the Shevchenkove Village Council. Before that, she worked as an editor of community radio broadcasting. She also aimed to become a deputy of the Kupiansk District Council.
During the occupation of Shevchenkove, Nadiia Sheliuh voluntarily took the position of “executive assistant of the Shevchenkove territorial control of the Temporary Civil Administration of the Kupiansk District” in the so-called “military-civil administration of the Kupiansk District.” She agreed to be an assistant to Andrii Stryzhko, Shevchenkove’s Gauleiter, who fled to Russia after the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in September.
From the beginning of June to Sept. 6 last year, Sheliuh performed the following duties:
- compilation of lists of the village residents to receive payments of 10 thousand rubles from Russians,
- use of these lists in official duty activities,
- consulting local people on social issues,
- distribution of Russian humanitarian aid,
- convincing the local educators to cooperate with the occupation authorities.
Sheliuh submitted a statement to the court admitting her guilt.
Earlier, the State Bureau of Investigation concluded the pre-trial investigation of the case of the former head of the Kharkiv Regional Security Service. He is suspected of state treason and other criminal violations.
