UKRAINE, Jul 5 — The third Patriot air defense system from Germany has been delivered to Ukraine, announced German Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Jäger on his social media.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received Patriot systems from the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands. Patriot systems can effectively shoot down various types of Russian missiles, including ballistic and cruise missiles.

According to the ambassador, Patriot will strengthen the protection of Ukraine’s civilians and infrastructure from Russian airplanes, drones, and missiles.

In recent months, Ukrainian air defense crews have completed training in Germany to use the system.

The Romanian presidential administration reported that Romania will transfer its Patriot air defense system to Ukraine. Romania’s Supreme Defense Council, chaired by President Klaus Iohannis, decided this at a meeting on June 20.
