RUSSIA, SARATOV, Sep. 11 — During the night of Sep. 11, Ukrainian forces attacked an oil refinery in Saratov, Russia, causing a fire, the General Staff of Ukrainian forces reported.

The Saratov oil refinery has an annual refining capacity of approximately 7 million tonnes of crude oil and produces petrol, diesel fuel, and other petroleum products. The refinery supplies fuel and lubricants to the needs of the Russian forces.

Also, in the morning, Ukrainian drones attacked the Azot (Uralkhim) plant in Berenyaki in the Perm Krai, one of the biggest chemical companies in Russia, said the Russian independent media, The Moscow Times.

Official sources have not confirmed the attack, but locals reported seeing a drone diving toward the factory, followed by loud explosions, The Moscow Times said, referring to monitoring Telegram channels.

Azot (Uralkhim) manufactures components used in the production of explosives. It is the only plant in Russia that produces sodium nitrate and crystalline sodium nitrite.
